Why is HVAC stuck in defrost only

I have heat and A/C but only blows out in defrost vent. No mid, no floor vent.

I would try a recalibration procedure to see if it will correct the issue. If not the mode actuator will likely need to be replaced. Would recommend having codes pulled from the HVAC system before replacing parts though.

F12DA fuse in the interior fuse box.

(Without a scan tool)

Note:Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module while the HVAC control module is self-calibrating. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result.

Ignition off.

Remove the HVAC memory fuse listed above for a minimum of 10 seconds.

Install the fuse.

Start the engine and allow it to run for at least 40 seconds.

Turn the ignition off for at least 10 seconds but no more than 30 seconds.

Restart the engine and check the HVAC operation.
