Have a 2002 Chevy trailblazer for some reason heat is fine a/c is not. I have tried to configure the module by pulling the fuse for a few seconds and then replacing it. I have installed a new compressor and line, accumulator, dryer, condenser, new fan clutch. The Freon has been placed in the compressor engages. But I’m getting nothing inside but what feels like warm air. I’m all the way I’m Texas and it’s HOT!!!!! Don’t want to be robbed by a mechanic for some reason th see a woman and everything doubles in price ??? I just need to know what to do from here. Also driver side vents do not blow at all and passenger vents blow well, but very warm

Just wanted to make sure you had the correct procedure.

Important:  Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module while the HVAC control module is self-calibrating. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result.

Alternate Method (w/o Scan Tool)

  1. Begin with the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  2. Remove the HVAC B fuse for a minimum of 10 seconds. One full minute preferably.
  3. Install the HVAC B fuse.
  4. The HVAC B fuse is located in the rear fuse box.
  5. Start the vehicle.
  6. Do Not Touch anything.
  7. Wait at least 40 seconds for the HVAC control module to self-calibrate.
  8. Turn the ignition off for at least 10 seconds  but no longer than 30 seconds.
  9. Restart the engine and the the HVAC operation.

The only thing that I can think of that would cause no air flow from the driver’s side vents is that they are closed. There should be thumb wheels to open and close the vent louvers. I don’t remember for sure if that year model had them or not.

If there is still no cold air at either side of the dash I would recommend checking the a/c lines under the hood to make sure that they are cold at the firewall when the compressor has been engaged for a few minutes.
