I’m not sure i’m using the correct name but it splits the hot and cold air causing temperature changes. The door swings open and closed constantly even when the fan speed selector is set to off.

If the door is swinging back and forth I would suspect that the door shaft is broken or the blend air door actuator is missing/internally damaged.

Good morning, thanks for the response. I found the actuator to be out of sync and have since repaired however there is still an issue that you may know what I should check next. The blazer has climate controls. The door/actuator swing properly fully from full heat to full cold when set. The problem is the temperature setting does not cause the door to blend to the correct temperature. Full heat set on control swings the door to full heat. Full cold on control swings the door to full cold. Anything swings the door to mix but it doesn’t get enough heat to bring the air temp to warm (75-80). This may be the control module which I replaced recently with a used item. My question is… where does the temp control get it’s temperature information that causes the door to adjust?

The systems generally look at vent, ambient and interior temperature sensor readings to determine how to adjust the door. I would suggest checking the coolant level and heater core operation before going too deep into anything else.
