I replaced a blend door on my 2000 Gmc Sierra. The one that controls the hot/cold blend door. When I replaced it, it will not bolt on unless I turn the blend door a few clicks to the left towards hot. Now the a/c blows warm all the time. Is there a recalibration for this older model? It is not dual climate controls and not auto controls.

What is the part number of the actuator you installed?

You mentioned that you turned the door a few clicks. Does something click when you rotate the door shaft by hand or were you turning something in the actuator?

The part number is 604-101 . No I have to turn the knob on the controller a few clicks not the blend door itself.

Okay, the ACDelco part number is 15-72507. When you go to Dorman’s site and cross reference that part number you come up with two Dorman numbers, 604-100 and 604-101. I find that strange and would recommend installing an ACDelco part.

I spent the money and bought an ACDelco actuator and installed it. Is there a sequence to recalibrate the actuators?

GM does not list one for a system with manual controls.
