So far i have a 30 amp fuse in the inside fuse panel labeled HAV/AC that is blown. i have checked the ac blower motor and its good and replaced the resistor and there is no burnt wires on the harness for the resistor. I’ve checked the terminals in the fuse box and there is power on one side and the other side shows a very dim light when grounded to power when plugged in, after several attempts to see what the cause is, i know that when the ignition plug on the back of the fuse panel is disconnect the 30 amp fuse doesn’t pop when i turn the key to on position to start but if i plug it in the fuse pops. keep in wind i followed the wires from the fuse box inside to where they go and disconnect the compressor and junction plugs under the main fuse box under the hood, unplugged the blower motor resistor. i think its the ignition switch. what do you think?

I am going to assume you meant the HTR/AC (sometimes the labels don’t match the diagrams) fuse in the interior fuse box since you stated it is a 30 amp fuse. Power leaves that interior fuse box on a brown wire, terminal C2 and goes to the blower switch. I would disconnect the blower switch harness connector and see if the problem goes away. I suspect that it may not and that the short is in the harness between the switch and the fuse box. I haven’t had the privilege of tracking down that exact short but I have discussed/read others that have found shorted harnesses on either side of the steering column on the dash support brackets.

I don’t think it would be the ignition switch because if the short was at the switch one of the fuses in the underhood fuse box would be blowing.
