#16545 Closed 2011 GMC Terrain public

I have a 2011 GMC Terrain. The blower only works on defrost some on the floor I can tell after it’s been on a while the floor gets some air. but I can hear it mainly coming out of the defrost and feel it there full. The temp only seems to change between Hi and 84 degrees. I do have A/C but it is only out of the windshield which then gets moisture on the outside if it’s really hot out. I took out the actuator and replaced it on the pass side and no difference.

Sparky

The mode door actuator is under the left side of the dash. I would start with a recalibration of the door actuators.

Alternate Method (without Scan Tool)

Note:  Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module while the HVAC control module is self-calibrating. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result.

  1. Clear all DTCs.
  2. Place the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  3. Install the HVAC actuator.
  4. Connect all previously disconnected components.
  5. Remove the HVAC control module fuse (F12DA fuse in instrument panel fuse block) for a minimum of 10 seconds.
  6. Install the HVAC control module fuse.
  7. Ignition ON.
  8. Wait at least 40 seconds for the HVAC control module to self-calibrate.
  9. Turn the ignition off for at least 10 seconds but no longer than 30 seconds.
  10. Turn ignition on and check operation.
