When turning key and get no response from starter. We must let it sit from several hours to a few days when it will get contact and start. These events have been more frequent and longer time to sit before starting again. Regardless of not starting when key is turned all electrical things work – windows, blower, lights etc.

Would have to know vehicle details in order to provide any insight ; year, make, model, engine size, transmission type, 2wd or 4wd.

It is a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 with a Vortec engine – bigger than 350.
Automatic transmission, 4 wd.

The two most common problems would be corrosion at the battery terminals. Particularly if there are two positive cables stacked together. The other would be a faulty starter. You would need to check the power signals at the starter solenoid when the condition is present.
