HVAC Blend Door Actuator Clicking Issue and Recalibration

Hello there. I have a 2010 Chevy Impala LT that has a clicking actuator that seems to be common with these vehicles. It’s in the glovebox and I’ve seen videos with how to take it out and put in a new one.

That’s all fine, but then I read that if you replace an actuator that you have to recalibrate your HVAC system. I’m not sure how to do this. I don’t see a clear way how to do it. The HVAC controls are dials that go up and down or turn. Not digital controls. If anyone knows how to do this properly I’d appreciate it.

According to GM service information it can only be done with a compatible scan tool.
